Account & Privacy
- Yes. There is no fee associated with joining myYearbook.
- To change your email address, click the Settings link in the upper right-hand corner of the page after logging in, then go to the "Account" tab and click "Change Email Address."
To go there right now, click here. - To change your password, click the Settings link in the upper right-hand corner of the page after logging in, then go to the "Account" tab and click "Change Password."
To go there right now, click here. - Your username is the email address that you registered with. If you do not remember which email address you registered with, we unfortunately have no way of finding your account.
- Go to the Forgot Password page and enter your email address. Your password will be emailed to you.
- To cancel your account and delete your profile permanently, click the Settings link in the upper right-hand corner of the page after logging in, then go to the "Account" tab and click "Deactivate Account." You'll have to enter your email address and password to confirm that you really want to cancel your account.
Important Note: If you do cancel your account, it absolutely cannot be recovered. - Accounts are removed for violating the Terms of Service. If you believe your account has been removed in error, submit feedback.
- Permanently deleting the child's profile can be done online. Here's how:
1. Log in to myYearbook.com with the child's email address and password
2. Click the Settings link in the top right-hand corner of the page
3. In the next screen, click on the "Account" tab - here you will find the "Remove Account" option.
Note: The account will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. - myYearbook profiles by default are available for other members of the myYearbook community to view. To restrict who can view your profile, click on the Settings link in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Under the "Privacy" tab is the setting "Who can view my profile?" Choose your desired level of privacy, then make sure to click the "Save" button to confirm your selection.
- Click on the Settings link in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Under the "Privacy" tab is the setting "Who can be my friend?" If you would like to require others to know your email address to send you a friend request, check the box for this setting, then make sure to click the "Save" button to confirm your selection.
- Go to the profile of the member you want to block and look for the "Break It Off" box at the bottom of the left column. Within that box, click the "Block" link to prevent that member from viewing your profile or contacting you.
- When you block someone, they will no longer be able to view your profile or post autographs on it, send you private messages, comment on your battles, send you gifts, admire you, or own your images.
- To access your Block List, click on the Settings link in the upper right-hand corner. Under the "Privacy" tab, click the "See which users you have blocked" link. You'll then see a list of everyone you've blocked; each one has a "Remove block" link so that you can unblock them if you choose.
To go directly to your Block list, click here now. - If you see inappropriate content or behavior on myYearbook, please click the
icon found in the top right corner of each page. In the next screen that comes up, indicate what you saw that was inappropriate and click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen. - If anyone has threatened to harm you or anyone else, you should contact local law enforcement to make a report.
If someone is bothering you or being annoying, ignore them, and block them. Once you block them, they will no longer be able to view your profile or post autographs on it, send you private messages, comment on your battles, send you gifts, admire you, or own your images.
To block someone, go to the their profile page and click the "Block" link, which is located within the "Break It Off" box in the left-side column. - If someone has set up a fake profile as you, click the
icon in the top right-hand corner of their profile and send in a report. - Click here to see myYearbook's Privacy Policy.
- We recommend that you immediately change your password for myYearbook.com and don't tell anyone what your new password is. Additionally, do not leave computers sitting logged into your profile where someone else could get access to it. Always click "Logout" at the top of the screen when you're finished using the site.
As a general reminder, only enter your password when you are 100% positive you're on the right site. If ever you're asked to give your password again after logging in, don't do it. Go back to http://www.myyearbook.com/ -- make sure that this exact text is in your address bar -- and login from there.

- To edit your profile information, click on the "Edit" link located on the right side of the "Basic" information tab. Here you will be able to update Basic, Personal, Contact, and Professional information.
- There are three ways to turn IM off.
To remove the IM bar entirely, choose one of these two ways:- Visit your homepage and click to turn IM off in the top right corner.
- Choose "Off" for your IM setting on the Settings page.
If you just want to log off temporarily, click to open your buddy list at the bottom right of any myYearbook page. At the top of the buddy list, click your name to change your IM status to Away or Busy, or to sign out of IM entirely. If you sign out, the IM bar will remain at the bottom right corner of the screen for you to sign back on whenever you want. - Attempting to customize the appearance of the profile by adding code to the "Whatever I Want" section can cause this. To fix it, remove any code in the "Whatever I Want" section that is used for altering the appearance of the profile.
- To access your Block List, click on the Settings link in the upper right-hand corner. Under the "Privacy" tab, click the "See which users you have blocked" link. You'll then see a list of everyone you've blocked; each one has a "Remove block" link so that you can unblock them if you choose.
To go directly to your Block list, click here now. - When a photo is suddenly reset to L$1, it means that it hasn't sold in 48 hours and the previous owner has chosen to Cash Out. When this occurs, the price of the picture is reset to L$1 -- which means you can earn more Lunch Money as the price rises again!
- If you have not received Lunch Money after completing a credit card payment, click the "Missing L$?" link found towards the top right of this page
In the overlay that comes up after you click "Missing L$", select the payment method, then give a brief explanation of what happened, and click "Submit." A Member Services Representative will get back to you within one business day.
